Solomon Garçon

Bio

Solomon Garçon (b.1991) is an artist based in London/Berlin. Working across performance, sculpture, and sound, his practice slips between visibility and vacancy, often intertwining histories of domestic surveillance technologies and the mediation of popular narratives. His ongoing analysis of contemporary media production’s techniques and cultures looks to the undercurrents and motives of image making in the hypermodern condition, a logic of late capitalism that sees the camera and the microphone as tools that capture and commodify anything and everything, rendering every site a set, and every human interaction a scene. 

Recent solo and group exhibitions include his first institutional solo presentation outside the U.K., titled ‘bravo’, at Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf, (2026); Brick at Daisy Chain, Basel (2026); Passages at Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg, (2026); Beyond the Manosphere - Masculinities today at Stedelijk museum, Amsterdam, (2026); Nachluft at Neue Alte Brucke, (2026); Passage du Commerce at Kunsthalle Winterthur, (2025); Fake Barn Country at Raven Row, London (2025); Group show at Galerie Bucholz, New York (2025); The Apartment at Galerina, London (2024/5) sunset beach at 243 Luz, Margate (2024); Solomon’s Knock with Samuel Hindolo at Galerie Bucholz, (fasanenstraße 30) Berlin (2023); and S N I T C H at Rose Easton, London (2022). His first solo institutional exhibition in the UK was ARMS at Studio Voltaire (2023).
