North Brooklyn Syndicate Open House Day

May 19, 1:00 - 7:00pm

The North Brooklyn Cultural Syndicate is a new joint initiative by Amant, the Bushwick Brooklyn Public Library, Eyebeam, International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), Light Industry, St. Nicks Alliance, Union Docs, and Wendy’s Subway to further neighborhood relations, share information, and bring attention to the cultural offerings of the area.

Open House Day invites visitors to walk from one location to the next to join tours, visit exhibitions, and meet artists and organizers. All participants with public programs will be open during the same time, hosting in-person events. All events are free.

At Amant, we offer an afternoon with refreshments in our garden and free exhibition tours of Sung Tieu’s Infra-Specter and Helen Cammock’s Bass Notes and SiteLines at 1:00pm and 3:00pm. At 6:30pm, director Ruth Estévez and Associate Curator Isabella Nimmo give an insider’s walkthrough of our two current exhibitions. Prior registration is recommended for the 6:30pm tour via this link.

For information about Open House Day events at our partner organizations, please visit their websites.

Member organizations hosting free in-person events for this occasion are: Amant, Brooklyn Public Library Bushwick Branch, International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art, and Wendy’s Subway.
