Klein: Rack It! Opening Reception featuring DJ Set by YATTA

Join us for the opening of London-based artist and musician Klein’s exhibition Rack It! at Amant’s AZ Gallery on Friday, June 12, from 6 to 9 pm. The project accompanies Amant’s current exhibition, Christelle Oyiri: Belief May Vary, which opened on March 19 and features a soundtrack scored by Klein. Performing that evening in Amant’s courtyard, YATTA will be on the decks from 7 pm onward.

YATTA is a Sierra Leonean-American artist, composer, and educator working across music, performance, installation, and film. Their 2024 album PALM WINE, named one of The Wire’s Best Albums of 2024, builds on the legacy of their great uncle, pioneering Sierra Leonean guitarist S.E. Rogie, reimagining palm wine music through storytelling, lilting vocals, and a slant toward levity, ease, and play. Recent exhibitions include Iron + Palm Wine (Art Omi, 2025–26) and FATHAGOD.EXE (Blade Study, 2025). Their work has been presented at MoMA, Tate Modern, The Getty, and Pioneer Works.
